All core skills plus all flick serve and back hand shots performed to a good standard. Footwork evident and positioning is good and can manipulate the shuttle around the court to a good standard. All core skills plus flick serve, back hand underarm clear, drop shot  and drive can be performed. Footwork is good, effectively moving around the court and demonstrates good position on the court. All core skills are demonstrated to a good standard and all back hand shots can be performed in a practice situation but lacks consistency in a competitive situation. Can return long and short serves to a good standard using clears, can use smashes from the middle of the court with good accuracy. Can play backhand clear with some success. Can return long and short serves using clears and drops shot, Can perform a smash from the middle of the court. Can perform long and short serves, return serves using overhead clears,  underarm clears but struggles to move opponent around the court. Performs, basic short serving and overhead clears in a practice situation but they lack power. Little evidence of the correct footwork and court positioning Successfully selects and uses appropriate skills on few occasions. Demonstrates little understanding of the activity.
W3 Performs basic overhead shots over the net with very little accuracy and power. Rarely selects and uses appropriate skills successfully. Demonstrates limited understanding of the activity.
W2 Some participation in activities. Can hit a shuttle from a stationary position over the with little consistency. Rarely selects and uses appropriate skills successfully. Demonstrates limited understanding of the activity.
W1 Very little participation in activities. No evidence of  being able to hit a moving shuttle skill development. Shows little or no understanding of the activity.
