(Backhand)

Able to vary bowling technique successful in competition. They have varying success at changing flight and speed. All core fielding skills performed consistently. Advanced stumping and pick-up and throw skills have some success.

Advanced betting skills are attempted with some success.

Can consistently bowl in one style and can vary flight, spin, pace with some success. All core skills performed consistently. Advanced skills are attempted with mixed success.

All batting core skills have moderate success in competitive situations. A consistent style of bowling is evident (fast, donkey, spin) with moderate success in competition. All core skills demonstrated with consistency. Able to catch and stump out opponents in competition.

(6-7)

Batting strokes have little consistency in competitive situations. Legal bowling action with some consistency of direction and pace. Can consistently catch over short distances and with some success with high catches. Can throw effectively over-arm to the bases.

(4-5)

Can demonstrate some batting strokes with limited success in a practice situation. Can perform a legal bowling technique but with mixed consistency, at a slow pace and in only one style. Can demonstrate a short and long barrier in stopping the ball but with mixed consistency. Will attempt catches with mixed success.

(1-3)

Can hold the bat correctly and hit the ball with some success from an underarm feed. Shows correct grip on the ball and can bowl using a basic action. Can catch and throw at short distances with mixed consistency. Shows some technique in stopping the ball.
W3 Can hit the ball from an underarm feed with some consistency. Can bowl using the basic action but struggles the full distance. Able to stop and return the ball when fielding but with poor technique and little success.
W2 Able to hit a ball from a drop feed with little consistency. Able to bowl using the basic action but struggles with distance and direction. Occasionally able to catch and stop the ball with poor technique.
W1 Able to hit the ball from a batting tee with mixed consistency. Able to bowl under arm with mixed consistency. Able to throw short distances under arm.
