Head of Physics – TLR 2c

We require a Head of Physics for September 2017.  The successful candidate would be responsible for leading Physics at KS3, 4 and 5 and the ability to teach Physics to a high standard is essential.

You will find the Science Department to be an incredibly supportive and driven environment: we pride ourselves on our collaborative approach, with our commitment to share excellent classroom practice, coupled with our determination to ensure that all students achieve their full potential.  As a central department in a teaching school, the continuous professional development which our teachers receive is second to none, with a range of opportunities for further development, as well as the opportunity to teach across the key stages.  Indeed, in our large Sixth Form, we offer a broad and exciting curriculum including biology, chemistry and physics ‘A’ level as well as BTEC applied Science, all our Science courses are incredibly popular choices in both Y12 and Y13.
