Behavioural Teaching Assistant (Term Time Only) – 37 Hours Per Week


Salary:  Band E – Point 18 – 37 hours/week – Term Time Only (8.15 – 4.15 p.m.)


We are seeking to appoint as soon as possible, an energetic and enthusiastic teaching assistant to provide one-to-one, in-class and behavioural support for students who have difficulty accessing a traditional curriculum due to behavioural problems.  The duties of the successful applicant will include assisting with the planning and delivering of an alternative curriculum to identified students with challenging behaviour.  The successful candidate should be flexible, approachable and able to respond to the needs of individual students.


The successful candidate will also be expected to work closely with outside agencies, where necessary, and will need to be confident in speaking with others and able to keep up to date records for each student.  Other duties will include working as a key worker for designated students, looking at what strategies enable the student to access the main stream curriculum successfully.
