We are so proud of our very talented Year 9 Textiles students who have completed making some beautiful dresses to help those in need in Africa. The project combines designing and making dresses and shorts to be sent out to those in poverty in the developing world as part of a UK nationwide charity campaign in partnership with the ‘Hope 4 Women’ global charity.
A swing tag is also made by each student with a special message for the child who will receive the dress or shorts.
The students involved have worked with maturity and pride throughout the project and have taken great care to produce some lovely dresses. They are a credit to the school.
If anyone would like to donate gifts such as teddies, small pencil or sewing kit gifts or even make a dress, bag or pair of shorts themselves feel free to contact the Textiles Department!
You can find more information on the Dress A Girl website.
