The Year 7 and 8 students attending Fashion and Textiles extracurricular after school club have recently completed a charity project…
Mrs Siddall’s Fashion and Textiles Year 9 Students have just completed the Dress A Girl Around The World Project. This charity project aims to provide the very best new dresses and shorts made especially for children living in poverty around the world.
The aim of ‘Dress A Girl’ is to ensure that every girl has at least one new dress and every boy has a new pair of shorts to own and wear. Not only have students learnt fashion design and construction skills, they have also learnt how to draft and make a pattern into garment. Each student has also made a doll to match the dress or shorts.
The students have worked with maturity, creativity and eagerness throughout the project. The work they have produced is made to an incredibly high standard and we are very proud of them. Well done to all involved.
