There’s been lots going on in the Design and Technology Faculty by our GCSE Construction and Engineering students, take a look at some of the projects they’ve been up to recently.
Year 9 have been completing cabinets and the apprentice projects which involves joinery, wallpapering, fitting sockets, painting and tiling. The quality of the work pupils have produced has been fantastic and pupils attitude and efforts have been excellent.
Year 10 have been completing window frame projects and preparing for exams.
Year 11 Construction students have been completing coursework projects. Pupils have been completing electrical installations working from diagrams and producing brick bbqs.
Year 9 have been manufacturing and racing toy cars fabricated out of sheet aluminium also using CAD/CAM. Also manufacturing aluminium tool boxes.
Year 10 have been completing decade counters and developing their knowledge and understanding of electronics used in engineering.
Year 11 Engineering pupils have been completing coursework manufacturing lamps and completing design work redesigning bike lights.
