This Friday 6th March, the English department along with the rest of the school will be celebrating World Book Day. As well as lots of book-themed lessons, there will be a number of activities going on around school.
- Staff will be hiding Golden Tickets in resources used in lessons between Monday and Thursday, any students who find a ticket should fetch it to the English Workroom to claim a prize and also be entered into an additional prize draw.
- Staff will be getting involved by dressing up as their favourite literary characters on Friday 6th March.
- Form groups are invited to decorate the door to their form room as the cover of their favourite book, with prizes for the best door decoration.
- There will be a bake sale in J Block on Friday 6th March, if you’d like to volunteer with baking, please let your English teacher know.
- Students can decorate their own book bag, design their own bookmark or decorate teacher boards in En8 during break and lunchtime, Thursday and Friday.
- Drama Club taking place after school for year 7 & 8 on Thursday will also have a World Book Day theme.
