On Tuesday 15th November, 29 Y7 Literacy students went to Grimm and Co in the centre of Rotherham. We were greeted by the a team of staff (all human!) who showed us around the shop, while we explored all the different products, which were suitable for both magical creatures and humans too. After getting an idea of the kinds of things that the magical beings of Rotherham need (and finding out what our inner magical creatures are!) we spent time working with the team at Grimm and Co to come up with some new ideas for products that they could sell. This is what the students will be continuing with in their Literacy lessons back at school, before some of their class mates return to Grimm and Co in December, to pitch their products to a panel of (real) dragons! The day was great fun, and we are all excited about visiting again soon.
