Barcelona Visit 🇪🇸
Geography
Monday 19th February 2018

Over half term the Geography department including Miss Brown, Mrs Thompson, Mr Gaynor and Mr Green took 39 students to Barcelona, Spain, flying from Birmingham airport on Wednesday and returning on Saturday afternoon.

Last Thursday we visited a dormant volcano in the town of Olot in the La Garrotxa National park. We walked into the crater of the volcano and were shown round a museum where we experienced what an earthquake would have been like, we then spent the afternoon around Las Ramblas and the marina area.

On Friday we visited FC Barcelona’s stadium the Nou Camp where we toured the museum and ground, walking out of the tunnel and seeing where the media view the games.

We then joined a guide for a tour around the city seeing La Segrada Familia and the two Gaudi houses, we also went around the gothic quarter where the original city was founded.

The students were superbly behaved particularly in the crowded Las Ramblas and subway, as well as in the airports. Passengers and guides all commented on the behaviour of the pupils from our school.

We hope you enjoy the video and have made some super memories.
