New History for Y9 Historians
Friday 8th June 2018

At the start of the summer term, Miss. Hammond joined an educational delegation to Sarajevo, in order to learn more about the Bosnian Genocide, in 1995. The trip was organised by the charity *Remembering Srebrenica* who aim to take people on visit programmes to learn lessons from the survivors of the genocide. Miss Hammond was privileged to meet several survivors on her trip, as well as visiting sites of genocide and remembrance. The events in Bosnia will be a brand new topic in Year 9’s History lessons next year, as the students learn skills in preparation for beginning their GCSE studies.
