Year 8 Spanish Celebrate Day of the Dead
Friday 14th February 2020

Year 8 Spanish students have been learning about the Mexican festival of Day of the Dead. Maddison Hair made a loaf of “pan de muerto” – the bread of the dead, which we have learned is part of the offering to passed souls during the celebration. Her class loved trying it, although not everyone loved the taste! Muchas gracias to Maddison for completing this extra research and sharing it with her classmates.

We have also been very impressed by many other Year 8 Spanish students for producing amazing work on their own alebrijes (spirit animals). Keep your eyes peeled for these creations and more work on Day of the Dead, appearing in the MFL corridors and classrooms very soon.
