Lysistrata Drama Production
Performing Arts
Thursday 7th January 2016

Wickersley School is delighted to host the professional touring production of the A Level Drama examination set text – LYSISTRATA.

Nationally acclaimed Actors of Dionysus are back on the road this Autumn with their unique take on Greek drama with their no holds barred comedy, Lysistrata. Follow our heroine, Lysistrata, and the women of Greece in their (not always heartfelt!) battle to deny their men sex in order to stop a bloody war. As tensions mount and frustrations erupt, see who wins and if peace is restored in this high octane, hugely enjoyable and absurdist version of Aristophanes’ masterpiece.

Adapted by David Stuttard after Aristophanes.
Directed by Tamsin Shasha
Suitable for ages 14 and over (contains strong language and some comic scenes of an adult nature).
