Wickersley Drama students have rehearsed and performed a brand new interpretation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream as part of the school’s marking the Shakespeare 400 Event, commemorating 400 years since the playwright’s death.
This was a vibrant brand new production of the play, in which a 1950’s holiday camp was on a collision course with a supernatural Ibizan beach party from the future.
The play was performed throughout the week to Key Stage 3 students in school and was the centrepiece of the school’s Summer Night’s Drama event on Friday 8th July which featured performances from students from Wickersley, Rawmarsh and Clifton Schools.
