Tuesday 17th September 2019

Madison Rowe in Year 11 is a member of the South Yorkshire Police brass band. Over the weekend the band travelled to Cheltenham to competed at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

The band were up against 18 other top bands from all over England, Scotland and Wales. Madison normally plays the euphonium but only 2 weeks ago was asked to join the percussion team. She accepted the challenge and played her part in what turned out to be the winning performance.

The band were crowned national champions, an amazing thing to be part of at such a young age.

Well Done Madison!
