Well, what can we say? Would Simon Cowell be impressed with our talented vocalists? Yes! without a doubt. The W Factor, now in its 11th year has grown into a technically professional show with equally professional standard performers.
It was a very tough decision for the Judges, Pete Berry and Graham Cowley, who together with the audience vote had to decide this year’s winner. On another night any one of the six could have taken the title W Factor Champion, however, on this occasion, Charlie Jackson came away as victor, by a narrow margin to Charlotte Barker and Bethan Carter.
Each and every performer would not have been out of place on a professional stage, each performing with a maturity well beyond their tender years.
The buzz backstage was palpable; Six top vocalists from year 8-12 each prepared 2 songs
|Singer||Song 1||Song 2|
|Poppy Rigby||Fight Song – Rachel Platten||Heroes – Alesso|
|Hannah Stables||Words as Weapons – Birdy||Arms – Christina Perry|
|Abi Johnson||Make you feel my love – Adele||Skyscraper – Demi Levato|
|Bethan Carter||When we were young – Adele||Valerie – Amy Winehouse|
|Charlotte Barker||Missed – Ella Henderson||Happier – Ed Sheeran|
|Charlie Jackson||Ave Maria – Beyonce||Titanium – David Guetta|
The customary prolonged hesitation eventually gave way to rapturous applause and an impressive burst of fireworks, announcing the winner – Charlie Jackson! duly crowned as W Factor Champion 2017. She performed the song Titanium by David Guetta as her winner’s song to a massive round of applause.
Watch out for great things from these star performers!
