We welcome today’s announcement that the algorithm-based results for A level and GCSE are now to be replaced by the…
Congratulations and well done to all our A level students receiving their grades today.
2020 may be known as the year where students didn’t have to sit exams. But let’s remember that these year 13 students worked hard for years and years and were primed and ready at the end of March 2020 to take the most important exams of their lives. Let’s not diminish their achievement by the fact they didn’t get the chance – the chance that the vast majority of them desperately wanted – to be tested and prove what they could achieve.
But what can’t be taken away from the class of 2020 is the skills, knowledge, and attributes they have developed over their school lives, and it’s those things that will set them up for the next stage of their education or career. I have every confidence that the class of 2020 will do themselves proud, and realise their potential. I wish them every success in building their futures – and ours!
Please contact the exams office or sixth form team if you have any queries about the grades you have been awarded.
