Former Drama Student Harry Leng Bloodworth gains prestigious place at RADA, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with an unconditional offer to undertake their Production Arts course.

Harry was a GCSE Drama student with a twist, he asked his teachers if he would be able to follow the technical route for his GCSE and was guided through this by Mr Hart, Mrs Mason, Mrs Watts and Mr Lancashire. Harry also supported the faculty during his time at Wickersley learning the ropes and becoming a seasoned member of the backstage crew in our annual Panto. Upon leaving Wickersley, he gained a place at CAPA College in Wakefield on their Production Arts Course.

He has been taught skills that cover theatre, film, and media in a practical manner. He has been involved with many projects providing technical support in the form of sound, lighting, and more recently filming and live streaming. He has also worked on external events, Leeds Light Night and Shrek, performed at the Sheffield Lyceum. Because CAPA College has courses in musical theatre, drama, and dance, he has been able to work on a variety of different genres within the entertainment industry. Covid has obviously had an impact on the industry as a whole however, it has allowed Harry to create more digital content than ever before.

We are incredibly proud of Harry and look forward to where his career takes him!
