Three GCSE Astronomy students – Annabelle Parkin, Rachel Incley, and Anna Roberts combined their love for astronomy with a love of baking, having produced cakes decorated with the features of the Moon.
Looking carefully, maria (dark seas) and terrae (light highlands) are clearly visible, as well as craters such as the Tycho crater and the Copernicus crater.
As well as showing what they had learned about the surface features of the Moon, and being extremely tasty, Annabelle then kindly donated the remainder of her cake towards the STEM club bake sale.
