Kicking Cancer
School News
Sunday 24th April 2016

Last weekend saw the kicking cancer charity event held at Wickersley school, a massive thank you for everyone’s support before, during and after the event; we helped to raise a massive total of £2528.78 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, and we are still receiving more and more donations.

The day was a huge success with our Zorbing tournament, which was won by the sixth form team. Well done to all the teams who competed.
We also had a visit from Rotherham United’s Miller Bear, as well as a number of stalls and a bouncy castle!

Some of our Year 7 students produced and performed their charity single ‘The Rainbow’ which is available to download from our website.

Thank you to all the sixth formers who helped throughout the day, as well as the staff and students and a big thank you to Miss Holcroft and Miss Eyre for organising and making the event a huge success!
