On Saturday 29th June, four of the year 7 and 8 girls, Maddison Lees, Daisy Heathcote, Shannon Swann and Martha Roper played in the National Aces Football Tournament in Nottingham. They competed against top teams from throughout the U.K in the Under 14’s category, with their team Millmoor Junior Reds.
They battled hard in the blistering heat against all the Champions of the UK playing Dunstable, Bradford, Notts County, Barry, Norwich, South London, Preston and North London. All the team played brilliantly getting them through the group stages and winning a place in the final. Unluckily they didn’t win but were runners up ranking them officially the FA’s second best side, in their age group, for the whole of the U.K.
