Roma Cartlidge, in Year 11, recently ran the virtual poppy run on Armistice Day in memory of her step-dad who served 24 years in the Army.
Roma’s step-dad, who enjoyed running had previously run the poppy run with Roma.
Here are a few words from Mrs Reid (Roma’s Mum)
“I was brought up with attending Remembrance and my children have always done so from babies – and then meeting Neil was obviously more poignant to him having served in the Army and lost friends. He has 2 children of his own and then I have my 3 children that attend or have attended Wickersley.”
