The Wickersley South Africa Partnership has been raising funds for over 4 years now and has raised over £150,000 towards projects in the poverty-stricken townships of Port Elizabeth.

We have completed 3 visits to South Africa and are going again in July 2017. For our latest fundraiser we are biking the distance from Wickersley to South Africa which is 8,500 miles. We are aiming to complete the mammoth distance in just 1 week and will be cycling 24 hours a day. The event is taking place in Asda Rotherham from Monday 9th – Sunday 15th May. The aim is to send 33 Wickersley students to work with the Calabash Trust in Port Elizabeth, where they will work in a local school on a project to provide them with sustainable fruit and vegetables for the whole community.
