At the end of the previous half term 58 students from years 10, 11, 12 and 13 visited the British Army at the Strensall Barracks in Yorkshire. The students experienced life in the Army stopping for two nights in the barracks and getting to meet dozens of different Army personnel.

The students took part in team building command tasks plus many different physical and mental challenges. They had the opportunity to work with the Black Rats, under the command of Major Humphries from HQ at Catterick.

The students (and staff) enjoyed every minute of their stay, and particularly enjoyed the shooting range and meeting The Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (1REME), Queens Own Yeomanry (QOY), Military Police (1RMP) and Medics. They challenged themselves on the assault course, took part in a competition on the shooting range and even got to sit on a military vehicle.
