Success at County Swimming Championships
School News
Wednesday 3rd October 2018

Several Wickersley School pupils represented their clubs at the Yorkshire Swimming Championships on the 15th and 16th of September with the older pupils competing on the 13 and 14th October.

Callum Broadhead (7S) was crowned Yorkshire Champion with two golds and followed up with a further two silver medals over the weekend. His success in the 50m freestyle and backstroke events take him to the top of the Great Britain rankings for his age group and he is one of 12 swimmers in the county selected for the Yorkshire swimming development squad.

Well done to all the swimmers who competed and good luck to those competing in the older age groups in a few weeks.
