Three Wickersley pupils represented Rotherham Harriers in the English National Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill, London last weekend on a bright but bitterly cold day.
Year 7 pupils Amelia Topliss (7S) and Luke Parker (7C) and Josh Gilbert (8S) achieved fantastic overall and team results.
Amelia (U13 Girls) finished 167th out of 467 finishers with the U13 Girls team finishing as 1st Yorkshire club and 3rd Northern England Club. Josh finished 117th and Luke 181st out of 570 finishers. The Under 13 Boys team finished 35th out of 56 teams and were also the first Yorkshire club and 3rd Northern club.
Both Amelia and Luke have another year in this category and next year sees Josh move up into the U15s. The three were part of a 34 strong Rotherham Harriers team competing across ten categories.
