Overview of KS4

GCSE Astronomy is all about our place in the Universe.  Learn about the planets, stars, galaxies and the Universe.  Students develop observational skills, and are required to undertake at least two observations (one unaided i.e. with the naked eye, and the other aided i.e. with binoculars or telescope).  It is assessed through two 1-hour 45-minute exams, including multiple choice questions, short and extended answer questions, graphical and data questions.
