We were entered into the competition in the U14, U16 & U19 (U19 takes place on Monday 25th) category. The morning proved to be a great day of netball and some really high standards of Netball across both categories. In the U16 category the girls fought their hearts out and really excelled, they put up a really good fight with Sheffield Girls High School to draw after the first half, this is the best I have seen them play for a long time. The girls eventually came in third position overall and narrowly missed out on progressing to the regional round which will take place in January.

The U14 squad were amazing, they played with such passion and determination to win. The girls have come on leaps and bounds and made light work of all teams they came across on Saturday. They beat Sheffield Girls High school, Hill House, Tapton & King Edwards to win the whole tournament convincingly. A special mention goes to Jess Vaughan in year 7 who was selected to play in the tournament proving she can hold her own with girls who are two years her senior. They are safely through to the next round which will take place in Harrogate in the new year.

The squad: Izzy English, Millie Morritt, Georgia Sulej, Keara Harper, Alice Winch, Emily Lankenau, Jess Vaughan, Rosie Chalk, Monet Wilson.
