16 Year 7 pupils have won this year’s Woodles writing competition after their outstanding stories were judged to be the most creative and imaginative. The pupils were up against some stiff competition, as all of Year 7 took part in the competition during their English lessons.
The overall winners: Ruby Weldon, Megan Jones and Carla Broadhead received a £10 book voucher, as well as the opportunity to animate their story into a cartoon alongside their fellow winners. Miss Darby and Miss Tunks will be taking the pupils to the state of the art animation and editing facilities at Rawmarsh CLC, and the finished cartoon will be entered into a national competition!
