Over the last week Year 9 and 10 Dance students have completed workshops with ex-Wickersley student Megan Louch. Since leaving Wickersley School and Sports College, Megan has completed her professional training at Laine Theatre Arts School and is now working as a dancer based in London.
She has performed in ‘Loserville’ West End and is soon off on a world tour of ‘Mamma Mia’. Students have been given the opportunity to learn from Megan’s experience and training in a variety of different workshops focusing on contemporary dance and dance from the musicals, including routines from ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘West Side Story’ and ‘Dirty Dancing’. As well as it being an extremely enjoyable experience for students, they have also learnt new ideas for their choreography and developed their dance techniques. Well done girls!
