On Wednesday 13th June 80 of our pupils took part in the inters athletic match at Dorothy Hyman Stadium Barnsley against Dinnington, Wath and Maltby schools. This is a very competitive event and this year saw our best result ever in this competition. There were lots of outstanding and exciting performances and all our teams worked really hard to make sure Wickersley achieved as many points as we could.

It was great to see the enthusiasm and determination throughout the afternoon. Well done team Wickersley your teachers were very proud of you. There were lots of personal best performances throughout the afternoon. Kristy Edwards in Y10 broke the inter girls 100 and 200m record which has been held since 1991 and Leo Rowley broke the junior boys shot which has been held since 1983. Both of these records  I am sure will now stand for a very long time.
