The aim of the national apprenticeship week is for students to gain more information about apprenticeships and think about whether it is something they would consider in the future.

Briefing in Y10 assembly about Careers day taking place in April.
Tuesday – The apprenticeship team from a local vocational college will be in school to talk about different types of apprenticeship that are on offer locally.
Wednesday – Have a go at applying for an apprenticeship! You may need to pass a skills test, so some of these will be available- have a go and see what it’s really like. In addition, the Careers team will also be on hand to offer guidance regarding apprenticeships.
Thursday – Ever thought of a sports apprenticeship? Rotherham United will be in school to talk about the types of apprenticeship on offer.
Friday- Alongside excellent qualifications, employers are looking for other skills. The National Citizen Service (NAS) may be able to offer you a little extra to add into your application – remember it’s about standing out from the crowd!
Not sure what NAS is? Advisors will be in school to give you more information. In addition, the careers team will also be available to help Y11/Y13 students with their apprenticeship applications.
All events take place at lunchtime in the LRC.
