On another soggy October morning the Wickersley School Sponsored Walk took place with the normal sense of excitement and agony. Students from year’s 7-10 plus sixth form ran, trudged and stumbled their way around the sixteen mile course. The muddy conditions, an overflowing waterfall and some rather excited horses didn’t stop students bravely completing the gruelling walk. The walk is expected to raise upto £20,000 with proceeds split equally between the school fund, which provides in-school equipment such as benches and minibuses, and charities chosen by the students in each year group. This is both a great challenge for the students and also a fantastic opportunity to give something back to very important causes.
Now it’s done, don’t forget to collect that sponsor money!
