A group students from Years 10 and 11 met with Mr Hudson this week to be congratulated for completing their Higher Project Qualification.

The independent project, which students have been working on since the summer, is done entirely in their own time, and has allowed them to develop a range of new skills including research methods, scrutinising sources and dealing with the pressure presenting in front of an audience of peers, staff and parents. According to Assistant Head, Mrs Bullock, the standard of the work produced by these pupils rivalled that of Y13 students in their Extended Project Qualification. Those who took part will receive a formal qualification from the AQA exam board in the summer, and will be able to add their achievement to their post-16 and university applications.
