Last weekend a brave team made up of 15 Yorkshire Air Ambulance staff and Wickersley School and Sports College staff played 5-a-side football for a world record breaking 43 hours. The game started at 6.30pm on Friday night and continued right through to 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
The game was organised to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity (as well as breaking the record for the longest ever 5-a-side game!). Many supporters came to see the game at all hours of the day bringing food supplies and words of encouragement for the players who included Mr Berry, Mr Garratt, Mr Newsome, Mr Skirrow, Mr Taylor, Mr Tipper and Mr Wong.
