Wednesday 29th February turned out to be a fantastic leap year for the Year 7 Netball Squad, they stormed their way through to finals day in convincing style. The girls were simply fantastic! A great team performance with each player giving 100% to every game. This squad shows real promise and are odds on favourite to go through to win the tournament!

Words cannot describe how well the girls played, they would be more than capable of holding their own in a year 11 match. With excellent movement in attack and around the circle edge from Isobel English, Charlotte Markham, Millie Morritt and Georgia Sulej, playing the tactics they have learned throughout the year assisted by the determination of Alice Winch who played hard to win balls in both attack and defence and creating the play through the centre court. Their excellent defending down the whole court and skills of Lauren Winter, Emily Lankenau and Monet Wilson in the defensive half meant we managed to keep the goals against us to two goals throughout the whole tournament. I am so proud of the girls as they have listened to everything we have practiced and were able to apply it at the right time. The girls were simply outstanding – roll on finals day!!!
