Sixth Form & Further Education

Wickersley Sixth Form

As part of an 11 – 18 school, Wickersley Sixth Form benefits from high-quality teaching that builds on students previous knowledge and skills. Sixth Form students have independence and individuality whilst here with their own study areas and common room and can benefit from the ongoing investments within the school.

You can also benefit from your own personal tutor who will support you in every aspect of Sixth Form life. Alongside this, subject teachers build strong working relationships with students.
We also have a dedicated Sixth Form team that is there for help and support and are always willing to add to the support offered by tutors. With clear and informed careers and university help and advice, the vast majority of students achieve their preferred university choice, including Oxford and Cambridge.

Enrichment & Work Experience

All students will have the opportunity to participate in a range of different activities, supplementing their existing studies. These activities are designed to enhance students’ time at Wickersley Sixth Form and develop key skills which will benefit them both in, and outside of the classroom.

Activities include; the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, cooking on a budget, teaching, beginners Spanish, and many more.

Our enrichment programme consists of weekly, timetabled sessions that run all year.

All students are also offered the opportunity to take part in work experience that is relevant to their future career plans.
