As part of their GCSE in Citizenship Studies, students are required to work as part of a team to raise awareness for a cause or bring about change in society. Year 11 students Ibrahim Munir, Holly Reddick, Maddison Sayles, Morgan Day and Max Marshall chose to raise awareness of engaging young people in voting. As part of their project they delivered a session to 6th form students to encourage them to register. They also wrote to local MP Alexander Stafford, seeking his opinion on reducing the voting age to 16 for local elections. The group were delighted when they received written letters from the House of Commons this week.
