Year 10 Drama GCSE students recently presented their Component 1 Devised Theatre work for final assessment. The work was performed in the style of playwright John Godber and was the result of several months’ collaborative scripting and rehearsing, with each group creating their pieces entirely from their own imaginations.
The stories they created were highly original and diverse, ranging from a prison inspection caper, to a Sunday league football murder mystery, and a tale of grief-stricken obsession in a 1980s mining family.
