This week, our Y7 girls played in the first ever Rotherham Schools Girls Football Cup Final against Wath. After dominating the majority of the game, the girls were thwarted by outstanding performance from the Wath goalkeeper, who made a number of brilliant saves to prevent Wickersley from taking the Y7 title.
All girls were excellent – playing great football and keeping a strong Wath team camped in their own half for a large amount of the game. Their effort and teamwork were exemplary, and they will look to go one better next year.
