Kenya Trip 2025

On 16th July, 56 students and 6 staff members embarked on an incredible two-week trip to Kenya, as part of Wickersley Partnership Trust’s Enrichment Promise – ensuring that all students have access to life-changing experiences beyond the classroom.

The trip included a mix of sightseeing, cultural activities, and volunteer work. A large part of the experience involved students and staff volunteering in three schools: Nakuru Grace Primary, Uhuru Primary, and Prisons School. While working in the schools, students taught classroom lessons, coached sports, and carried out renovation work.

Other highlights of the trip included a Swahili lesson, a cookery class, visits to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage and the Nairobi Giraffe Sanctuary, and a safari in the Maasai Mara.

Throughout the trip, the students represented the school with pride and were a credit in everything they did. This truly was an unforgettable experience that brought our Enrichment Promise to life.
