Congratulations to all the students who took part in and successfully completed this year’s Wickersley Sponsored Walk 2025.
The event was a fantastic success, with students showing outstanding spirit, maturity, and determination throughout the day. Their positive attitude and teamwork made it a truly memorable occasion, reflecting the values and community pride that sit at the heart of Wickersley.
Each year group supported a different local charity, demonstrating the breadth of our students’ compassion and social responsibility. Year 7 walked in aid of Age UK, supporting older members of our community. Year 8 raised funds for Hopian UK, helping those affected by domestic abuse. Year 9 chose to support Rotherham Hospice, a cause that provides vital care to local families, while Year 10 dedicated their efforts to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, bringing hope and comfort to children and their families.
Together, our students have raised a significant amount of money for these incredible charities. This generosity and commitment to helping others is a shining example of the community ethos we champion across the Wickersley Partnership Trust. We’ll be sharing the final total raised very soon.
It was a joy to see the smiles and sense of accomplishment as students returned at the end of the walk. To recognise their dedication, every participant has been presented with a special certificate and badge – a small token to celebrate a big achievement.
A heartfelt thank you to all families, staff, and supporters who encouraged our students to take part and give their best. Your enthusiasm and involvement make occasions like this possible!
