Last night we opened our doors to Y11 students exploring their options for after school, at our Wickersley Sixth Form Open Evening.
The evening was one of our busiest yet, and it was great to see so many potential students and families interested in exploring how Wickersley Sixth Form can help them on their post-16 academic journey.
Attendees were invited to attend a talk from our Senior Leadership Team, which gave insight into Wickersley Sixth Form life – including all the ways our students are supported with their learning journeys, preparation for further education or potential employment, and guidance in making informed choices for their life after Sixth Form.
Following on from the talks, visitors attended our Options Fair – where every subject held a dedicated stand. Staff and current students were available to discuss details of each course, the entry requirements and the exciting opportunities that studying with us can open up.

Mr Gaynor, Head of Sixth Form said, “Our Sixth Form Open Evening was our busiest yet, and I am absolutely delighted to see such a fantastic turnout. It was great to see so many students, from Wickersley and across the local area, come to explore everything Wickersley Sixth Form has to offer. It’s so important that students get a first-hand look at how we can help them achieve their future goals. We are incredibly proud of our academic record – not only do we achieve the highest A-level grades in Rotherham, but our results also rank us among some of the best in South Yorkshire.
