Back in December, five enthusiastic A-Level Physics students took part in Round 1 of the British Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad.
This challenging competition focuses on problem-solving in astrophysical contexts and is designed for students who are keen to stretch their thinking beyond the A-Level curriculum. The paper gives students valuable exposure to astronomy and astrophysics problems that require deep reasoning, resilience and advanced problem-solving skills.
We are delighted to celebrate the fantastic results achieved by our students:
Jake – Commendation
Renée and Sidney – Bronze 1
Amogh and Finn – Silver
A huge well done to everyone involved for rising to the challenge and representing the department so well. Keep up the excellent work!
