Year 8 Drama students have recently been exploring the themes and issues within Animal Farm. This learning was brought together in a design-focused lesson, linking directly to an area that GCSE Drama students need to understand when preparing for their Component 3 exam.
As part of the lesson, students designed costumes for animal characters from the play, carefully considering how costume can communicate character, status, and themes. The creativity and thought shown in their designs has been fantastic, and it is clear we have some inspiring costume designers in our midst.
