Well done and good luck to Jacob in Year 11, who has been named a Northern District Finalist in the Lions Young Ambassador Award Competition 2026!
Jacob was first recognised by the Bramley and Wickersley Lions Club, who nominated him to take part in the Northern District stage of the competition. He will now attend a weekend event in Dudley this half term for the final, representing the Northern District area – from Sheffield all the way to the Shetland Islands.
As part of this achievement, Jacob has also been awarded a bursary, which will go towards a project within the school community.
The final will celebrate the outstanding commitment of the eight district finalists to helping others, community service, volunteering, and leadership. Jacob will also take part in interviews, with the chance to win additional bursaries to support his own project ideas. The overall UK winner will then go on to compete in a European final this summer.
