As part of our entitlement curriculum, Y7 students recently visited the Madina Masjid Mosque in Sheffield. At Wickersley Partnership Trust, we believe that visiting places of worship is a valuable experience that helps students deepen their understanding of different beliefs beyond the classroom.
Throughout the Spring Term, students have been learning about Islamic beliefs and practices in RE lessons. This visit brought that learning to life. During the tour, our guide Zahid explained key features of the mosque and shared insights into the daily life of a Muslim. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and explore their curiosity about Islam.
Our students had a fantastic time, and we’re incredibly grateful to Zahid and everyone at Madina Masjid for welcoming us once again. We’re already looking forward to the 2025/26 cohort’s visit next year!
