Earlier this week, Wickersley Voices took to the stage at Magna as part of The Rotherham Opera: Tales Untapped. After rehearsing over the last term, the students delivered an outstanding performance and did Wickersley School incredibly proud.
The Rotherham Opera songs were all written and performed by children from across Rotherham, supported by the Royal Ballet and Opera as part of the Rotherham Children’s Capital of Culture 2025 project.
Opportunities like this are a fantastic way of broadening horizons through music, allowing students to experience professional performance, develop confidence and deepen their love for the arts. It also forms an important part of the WPT Enrichment Promise – inspiring young people through unforgettable cultural opportunities beyond the classroom.
