Recently, Darcey in Year 8 took part in a National Cricket Final at Lord’s! Darcey opened the batting but was bowled out for 0 after facing just three balls. She quickly put that behind her, cheering on her teammates as they went on to post an impressive 126 runs.
The opposition, Burgess Hill, got off to a strong start and had reached 102 runs after 15 overs, with only three wickets down. It looked like they were on course for victory, but Darcey and her team never gave up. The team pulled together brilliantly and turned the game around. By the 18th over, it was all over for Burgess Hill, with Darcey taking her second run-out from behind the stumps to help secure the victory. Well done!
