Unfortunately, the Y8 Boys Football team lost in the second round of the ESFA Cup Last night to King Ecgbert’s school in Sheffield. The game ended 1-1 after a very wet normal time and could have gone either way. The last kick of extra time was a deflected strike that crept under James Wilkes which meant K E progressed to the next round.
There were tears….. despite the defeat, the boys were fantastic from start to finish displaying a huge amount of teamwork, spirit, and of course effort. They continue to wear the badge with pride and it is a pleasure experiencing competitive sport again with our students.
